2. Information we collect
We may collect identifiers and contact details (name, email, telephone number, billing and shipping address); account identifiers; authentication and security information; cart, product, order, payment-status and promotion information; communications and custom-apparel project details; marketing preferences and consent records; and technical information such as IP address, browser, device, cookie identifiers and interactions with the site.
3. Why we collect it
- Provide accounts, carts, checkout, orders, delivery, returns and customer service.
- Prepare and respond to custom-apparel quotes.
- Prevent fraud and secure the site.
- Comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection and other legal duties.
- Send marketing only where valid consent or another lawful basis exists.
- Measure and improve the service where permitted and, when required, with consent.
4. Service providers and transfers
Information may be processed by Shopify (storefront, checkout and orders), Auth0 (authentication), Mailchimp/Intuit (newsletter), Stripe where enabled (payments), hosting/database and delivery providers, and professional advisers. Google Fonts, YouTube and social-media links may also receive technical information when used. Some providers process information outside Québec or Canada, where it is subject to foreign laws. Effo-X must assess relevant privacy factors and use appropriate contractual safeguards before such transfers.
5. Consent and choices
We explain collection at or before the time it occurs. Optional marketing is separate from account creation and purchasing. You may withdraw marketing consent through the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect necessary transactional messages or processing required by law.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably required for the stated purpose and applicable legal, tax, warranty, dispute and security periods, then securely delete or anonymize it. We use access controls, encryption in transit, service-provider controls, backups and incident procedures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, information about use and disclosure, and a portable copy of eligible computerized information. We may verify your identity. Send requests or complaints to the Privacy Officer. You may also complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 14. We do not knowingly collect their information without authorization permitted by law.

Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and additional notice where required.
